For Xeno - Friendliness and Fairness" PARTICIPANTS: YOUNGSTERS FROM GERMANY, SPAIN, BOSNIA AND HERTZEGOVINA, POLAND, CROATIA, AND PORTUGAL
Project coordinator - Steffi Bergman A warm welcome to the Creative Camp - Jungendakademie in Walberberg, Germany! The
aim of the Creative Camp is to develop common European feeling with
youngsters from the EU countries as well as from the EU candidate countries
and other countries that are not the members of the EU. Young people
should gain the sense of belonging to the European family of different
nations, different cultures and different languages. Camp doors are open to all differences. Young people have the opportunity to participate in multi-national teams working on skill-oriented tasks, communicating with young people from all around Europe. They are in charge to organize various activities, initiatives and exchange experiences and skills. Creativity in the camp means sharing ideas and working together to achieve positive results for everybody included. They all have an opportunity to engage in constructive discussions and planning. There are many challenges to be faced to make sure that all young people reach their full potential in the camp. Europe has a dynamic youth population today. They are more mobile, technologically-aware and culturally diverse. They are also able, more than ever before, to reflect on their own identity and culture within Europe. In that way they can extand their self-esteem and self-confidence. Jugendakademie takes its commitment to the young people of Europe seriously. They are supported here to build a strong and proud European identity. That's why they are positively engaged in activities where they dvelop all their potentials. The camp provides a range of opportunities and initiatives which enable young people to make their voices heard. Youngsters are involved in decision-making, and learn skills which help them gain basic life skills. Above all, young people learn how to be cooperative and respect differences.
