Welcome to the WILDFIRE EDUCATION Project

In summer seasons the coastal areas in Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece are permanently exposed from a high to a very high fire risks. In the summer, the wildfire occures along the Meditarranean coasts many times. The total burn down area is always very large. It's hard to estimate the direct and indirect damage of the lost woody biomass, the costs of environmental sanative measures and, above all, the lost human lives.

Fire fighting is the process and profession of extinguishing fires. Firefighting and firefighters have become the most important fighters around the world.
